Hybrid iso has 2+ partition, for legacy and EFI boot. Of system indexing tools, restore point tools and so on, writing some data into efi partition and this, in turn, changes the drive data sum as the dd command saw it. So, lesson learned, it appears that USB isn't ready for prime time (at least when burned from a Mac).
